ConnectNeighbors.com helps local businesses build lasting visibility across county, city, and neighborhood websites without paying for every click, impression, or lead.

Most advertising rents attention for a limited time. Social media posts quickly move down the feed. Paid search ads disappear when the budget ends. Direct mail may be viewed once and discarded.
ConnectNeighbors.com was built around a different idea: place local businesses inside useful, location-specific community websites where their information can remain available every day.
The network includes pages for states, counties, cities, and individual neighborhoods. Residents can use these pages to find community information, announcements, utilities, schools, local businesses, real estate resources, events, and other helpful information.
When a business advertises countywide, its information can appear on the county page, city pages within that county, and neighborhood websites connected to those communities.
ConnectNeighbors began with MaderaHighlands.com, created in 2013 to provide one Southern Arizona neighborhood with a useful online community resource. It brought together neighborhood information, announcements, real estate resources, utilities, local businesses, and activities in one place.
That original website became the inspiration for ConnectNeighbors.com. The same concept could serve residents, businesses, and professionals in thousands of communities—not just one neighborhood.
Businesses are not placed in a generic national directory. They are connected to the actual counties, cities, and neighborhoods they serve.
A countywide business sponsorship is designed for businesses that serve customers throughout a county rather than within only one subdivision or neighborhood.
County page: Present your business to visitors researching services and information throughout the county.
City pages: Extend your visibility to the cities and communities your business serves.
Neighborhood websites: Reach the most local level—the neighborhoods where prospective customers live.
Pima County, Arizona, demonstrates the scale one county sponsorship can provide. The ConnectNeighbors network in Pima County includes:
During June 2026, ConnectNeighbors pages associated with Pima County received more than 70,000 views. During the most recent full quarter, those pages received approximately 198,495 views.
ConnectNeighbors recorded more than 927,000 website visits nationwide during May 2026 alone.
A ConnectNeighbors business listing remains available for as long as the sponsorship is active. Residents do not have to see it during a narrow window in their social media feed. They can discover it while visiting the community pages relevant to where they live or plan to move.
| Temporary Advertising | ConnectNeighbors Visibility |
|---|---|
| Social posts move down the feed | Your listing remains on local pages |
| Paid search stops when the budget ends | Monthly sponsorship provides ongoing placement |
| Platforms may charge per click or impression | No added cost for views, clicks, or inquiries |
| Broad or general audience | Geographically focused community visibility |
ConnectNeighbors does not have to replace Facebook, Google, direct mail, networking, or other promotion. It can become the evergreen foundation that continues representing your business between campaigns.
ConnectNeighbors limits countywide participation to five paid businesses in each category. Residents are not forced to sort through hundreds of listings, and participating businesses receive stronger visibility within their category.
Once a category is filled, additional businesses may be placed on a waiting list. Availability is first come, first served.
ConnectNeighbors organizes businesses into clearly defined categories to make it easier for residents to find trusted local service providers while helping advertisers receive stronger visibility within their specialty.
Rather than competing with dozens or even hundreds of businesses in a large online directory, participating businesses are featured within carefully managed categories throughout the county they serve.
Each county is limited to a small number of featured businesses in each category, helping preserve visibility for participating advertisers while providing residents with a curated list of local professionals.

This guide is especially helpful for businesses that provide multiple services. For example, a company offering roofing, solar, and electrical services may qualify for multiple featured categories while reaching homeowners throughout an entire county with a single affordable countywide advertising program.

ConnectNeighbors is more than an advertising concept. It represents years of work developing a network that can serve residents, businesses, real estate professionals, lenders, community groups, and local organizations.
The network was created by John Backer, an Air Force veteran with approximately 30 years of technology experience, decades of real estate experience, and 12 years of local public service on the Town of Sahuarita Planning and Zoning Commission and the Pima County Board of Adjustment.
The goal is straightforward: provide useful community information while creating an affordable way for trusted local businesses and professionals to connect with the people they serve.
